Beagle is a loving, yet stubborn hound dog of small breed. Beagles are primarily known for their great sense of smell and superior tracking instincts. Beagles are affectionate, are kid friendly, yet a little hard to train. The Beagle is a playful dog and comes in Tri-color (black, tan and white), and combinations of black, tan, red, white, brown, lemon, blue and redtick. Once used as a hunting companion by English gentlemen in the 1500s, the Beagle is a friendly and cheerful family companion. Their floppy ears and ‘cute’ face is their major characteristic.
